And there shall be no man
In the tabernacle
Of the congregation
When he goeth in
To make an atonement
In the holy place,
Until he come out,
And have made an atonement
For himself,
And for his household,
And for all the congregation of Israel.
That by two immutable things,
In which it was impossible
For God to lie,
We might have a strong consolation,
Who have fled for refuge
To lay hold upon
The hope set before us:
Which hope we have
As an anchor of the soul,
Both sure
And stedfast,
And which entereth
Into that within the veil;
Whither the forerunner
Is for us entered,
Even Jesus,
Made an high priest for ever
After the order of Melchisedec.
But we all,
With open face
Beholding as in a glass
The glory of the Lord,
Are changed
Into the same image
From glory to glory,
Even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
For the grace of God
That bringeth salvation
Hath appeared
To all men,
Teaching us That,
Denying ungodliness
And worldly lusts,
We should live soberly,
Righteously,
And godly,
In this present world;
Looking for
That blessed hope,
And the glorious appearing
Of the great God
And our Saviour
Jesus Christ;
Who gave himself for us,
That he might redeem us
From all iniquity,
And purify unto himself
A peculiar people,
Zealous of good works.
