Faith is believing with our hearts and confessing, speaking.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
A man of God once suggested that we should prophesy to ourselves in the mirror. Nowadays we can speak to our phones set to selfie pictures. Praise God!
Psalm 84:5-7 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca (weeping) make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
We can say things like, “in the name of Jesus;”
“I am and we are the redeemed of the Lord.” Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
“I have and we have righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
“I walk and we walk in the Spirit and do not fulfill the weakness of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust (weakness) of the flesh.
“I am and we are spiritually minded.” Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
“I live and we live by faith.” Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
“I lay down my life and we lay down our lives and overcome Satan by the word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb.” Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
It has to be by faith because without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
