Put on the Whole Armour of God The Christian's spiritual armour is set forth in Ephesians 6:10-18. There are seven pieces of armour: (1) Loins girt about with truth, (2) The breastplate of righteousness, (3) Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, (4) The shield of faith, (5) The helmet of salvation, (6) The sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, and (7) Praying in the Spirit. Pay special attention to the "helmet of salvation" for the guarding of your thought life. Most demons seeking to re-enter assail the thoughts. Become watchful of any thoughts that could be considered negative; they are from the enemy. Separate their thoughts from your own. Refuse the thoughts they give you and replace them with positive spiritual thoughts. Resist the devil at the first sign of his attack. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on (say) these things. Confess Positively Negative confessions characterize demonic influence. Positive confession is faith expressed. Confess what God's Word says. Any other confession will open the door for the enemy. Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAITH. Excerpt from; Pigs in the Parlor by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond. Chapter eight.
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, ask for His help, and he shall direct thy paths.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly (fully) pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
Romans 5:1, 9
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: … Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…
The eyes of the LORD are in every place,
Beholding the evil and the good.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me,
And thy right hand shall hold me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me;
Even the night shall be light about me.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee;
But the night shineth as the day:
The darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
Seek ye the LORD
While he may be found,
Call ye upon him
While he is near:
Bless the LORD, O my soul:
And all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities;
Who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;
Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things;
So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
