Deuteronomy 32:43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

Psalm 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psalm 118:14-16 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR PROTECTION.

Deuteronomy 33:29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

2 Samuel 22:3-4 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Psalm 27:5-6 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. JOY IS NOT SILENT.

Psalm 40:16 KJV – Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

Psalm 66:1-2 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

Psalm 89:15-16 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

Psalm 95:1-3 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Psalm 100 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Isaiah 65:17-19 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

Jeremiah 31:11-13 For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

*GOD ALWAYS PREPARES US BEFORE HE USES US*

“Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, …” (Exodus 3:1) 

Moses spent forty years as a shepherd in Midian, and during this period, he learnt patience, perseverance, and total submission to the will of God.  Like Joseph’s thirteen years of slavery in Egypt and Paul’s three years of isolation after his conversion (Galatians 1:17,18), Moses’ forty years of waiting and working prepared him for a lifetime of faithful ministry.  “God doesn’t lay hands suddenly on His servants, but takes time to equip them for work,” writes Warren Wiersbe.  Another truth that we learn from Moses’ life is that God does not need lazy people for His service, but He calls people who are busy.  God called Gideon when he was threshing wheat.  (Judges 6:11)  He called little Samuel while he was ministering in the tabernacle. (I Samuel 3:10)  He called David while he was taking care of his father’s sheep. (I Samuel 16:11,12) He called Elisha while he was ploughing. (I Kings 19:19-21)  Even Jesus called only busy men as His disciples.  In Mark 1:16-20 we read that He called Simon and his brother Andrew, James and his brother John while they were preparing their fishing nets for a catch. Jesus called Matthew while he was sitting at the tax-collector’s booth and doing his work. (Matthew 9:9)   

Dear friends, are you in the waiting period?  Are you waiting for God’s time?  Are you waiting for a long time?  Do not get frustrated. This is the period in which God wants to teach you some precious lessons.  Submit to His authority and have a teachable spirit.  Till then, keep doing diligently whatever job He has placed in your hands.  In His appropriate time, He will call you and use you in His own way to build up His Kingdom.

*PRAYER*: Dear Lord, after Moses enjoyed the luxuries of the Egyptian palace for forty years, You let him live as a shepherd for the next forty years to teach him certain valuable lessons and use him as a leader for the next forty years. Let me also totally submit to Your will. Amen.

JOY AND REJOICING IN THE FEASTS OF THE LORD!  A PATTERN FOR US TODAY!

Leviticus 23:34, 40-41 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. … And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

Deuteronomy 16:10-16 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there. And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes. Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine: And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates. Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice. This, then, is a time for rejoicing. “Be ye glad and rejoice forever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying” (Isa. 65:18, 19). A faithful remnant are returning from the captivity to raise again the walls of Jerusalem and restore the gates of Zion. And God is in the midst of her to bless and to impart the joy of the Holy Ghost.

Psalm 48:1-2 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH AND HEALTH.

Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat,and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Psalm 21:1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

Psalm 43:3-5 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalm 51:8, 12 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. … Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Isaiah 35:1-10 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. Song of Songs 2:3-4 As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow- (Heb. sel- shade, protection) with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house- (Heb. bayit- household, family), and his banner over me was love.

Exodus 13:21-22 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

John 15:1-5, 8-9, 12 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 1 John 5:1-5, 11-13, 20 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 Corinthians 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (brotherly love), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

THE GREATEST LOVE

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).

Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) These verses take that thought a step further. It’s conceivable that a man would die for someone he loves. That’s happened before. There are even some people who would dare to put their lives on the line for the sake of principle.  But God sent His only Son to die for us while we were still sinners!

The Lord didn’t just die for those who were godly. The truth is we’ve all “sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). There were no “godly” people from His perspective. And the Lord didn’t limit His sacrificial death only to those He knew would accept it either. He died for the sins of the whole world, not just those who believe on Him Jesus is “the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Christ died for us before we accepted His love. He died for the sins of the world knowing that most would reject His act of love.  This goes beyond any love that we can find outside of God. God’s love is totally independent of any worth on our part.  Understanding this, is a major ingredient for enjoying a healthy relationship with the Lord. If we feel we must be worthy of His love and goodness, we’ll never accept it.  God loves us because He is love, not because we’re lovable.

HOPE (Gk. Elpis)- JOYFUL EXPECTATION

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

THERE IS REST, PEACE, AND JOY IN HOPE.

Psalm 16:9-11 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 146:5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

Proverbs 10:28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

Lamentations 3:21-26 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

THERE IS COURAGE, STRENGTH, AND PATIENCE IN HOPE.

Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Joel 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Romans 8:24-25 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

HOPE IS PLEASING TO THE LORD

Psalm 147:11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

1 John 3:2-3 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

FAITH

THE SERVANT OF GOD COULD NOT SEE UNTIL THE MAN OF GOD PRAYED FOR HIM. FAITH IS A SIGN OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY.

2 Kings 6:14-18 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

PRAY THAT GOD WILL OPEN OUR EYES OF FAITH SO THAT WE CAN SEE THE CLOUD OF WITNESSES AND HUMBLY RUN THE RACE WITH PATIENCE.

Hebrews 11:39-12:2 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

THE CLOUD OF WITNESSES!

ABEL’S BLOOD CRIED FOR VENGENCE BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS CRIES OUT FOR MERCY.

FIND A SCRIPTUE AND BELEIVE IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND SAY IT WITH YOUR MOUTH. THIS IS THE WAY WE ONERCOME DEVILS AND DISEASES.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Romans 10:8-10 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

FAITH IS REAL.

Hebrews 11:1-3, 6 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. … But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD.

James 2:14-20 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

FAITH IS A FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

FAITH IS ALSO A GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

1 Corinthians 12:4-9 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

THROUGH FAITH WE ARE HEALED AND SET FREE FROM SATAN.

Matthew 9:20-22 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Matthew 9:27-29 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Matthew 17:18-21 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. FAITH DEFEATS DOUBT.

Matthew 14:28-31 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

FAITH COMES BEFORE JOY.

Psalm 21:1-2 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP, STRENGTH, AND UNITY THROUGH OUR FAITH.

Acts 2:42, 46-47 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. … And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. Hosea 13:5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

I am scorched by the sun (a spiritual thought).

Song of Songs 1:6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

My beloved, the Shulammite woman, says that she is scorched by the sun. The heat of the sun is a metaphor for suffering. If we look in the Bible, we can see that some people are experiencing this sun of suffering.

Genesis 18:1, 9-10 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; … And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Abraham sat in the scorching sun which means he was experiencing suffering. He had no real heir, no offspring, and he was suffering. Are you also being scorched by the sun that scorched Abraham? Do not forget that God is In the burning wilderness. He visited Abraham while it was still sunny and promised him, filled his need, and gave him offspring. Believe me, in this sunny experience of yours, my Jesus is going to befriend you.

John 4:6-7 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

The Samaritan woman came to the well at noon. Because of this she is being touched by the sun. What is the trouble or suffering that she has? She is in shame, she experiences reproach, she has no real husband which means no protector. She has a dry life. Are you also being touched by the sun? Then you should understand (Hosea 13:5) the one who made friends with you in the scorching wilderness. Jesus, who visited her and changed her condition from a helpless woman to a beautiful one, Jesus is ready to make friends with you.

Job 30:30 My skin is black and it is falling off from me, and my bones are burned.

Job is burning with the heat of the sun (tribulation). You know in the Bible, Job was touched by the sun of many afflictions. In wealth, in family, in body, he experienced many afflictions. But (Hosea 13:5) he who loved you in the scorching desert. God visited Job and gave him twice as many blessings as he had lost.

God is ready to be with you in your life. The Lord Jesus Christ is worthy of being your friend.

Luke 23:44-46 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Jesus Christ suffered for you in the darkness so that you could walk in the light. The just for the unjust. Praise God!

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

1 John 1:5-7 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

FAITH AND PATIENCE.

Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful (lazy), but followers of them who through faith (assurance) and patience (longsuffering, endurance) inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:12 AMP – so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.

THE AUTHORITY OF FAITH

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Matthew 8:8-13 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. THE JOY OF PATIENCE

Luke 8:11-15 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

WE ARE NOT ALONE.
