Draw near to God

Isaiah 55:7-8

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly (fully) pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Psalm 73:28

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

Romans 5:1, 9

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: … Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

James 4:8

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…

Keep a song in your heart

Ephesians 5:19-20 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Duty, Honor, Church

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

(Adapted excerpt of Douglas MacArthur’s speech at West Point-1962).

“Duty, Honor, Church; those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.

The code which those words perpetuate embraces the highest moral law and will stand the test of any ethics or philosophies ever promoted for the uplift of mankind. Its requirements are for the things that are right, and its restraints are from the things that are wrong. The soldier, above all other men is required to practice the greatest act of religious training: sacrifice. In battle and in the face of danger and death, he disposes those divine attributes which his Maker gave when he created man in His own image. No physical courage and no brute instinct can take the place of the divine help which alone can sustain him. The church, the church, the church.

Ephesians 3:14-16 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

He gave us the love of the Father

1 John 2:15-17

Love not the world,

Neither the things

That are in the world.

If any man love the world,

The love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world,

The lust of the flesh,

And the lust of the eyes,

And the pride of life,

Is not of the Father,

But is of the world.

And the world passeth away,

And the lust thereof:

But he that doeth the will of God

Abideth for ever.

Matthew 17:5

While he yet spake, Behold,

A bright cloud overshadowed them:

And behold a voice

Out of the cloud,

Which said,

This is my beloved Son,

In whom I am well pleased;

Hear ye him.

John 15:9

As the Father hath loved me,

So have I loved you:

Continue ye in my love.

The precious fruit

Exodus 23:14-17 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:) And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field. Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

James 5:7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Be thankful for the blood of Jesus Part 2

The POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS
LIFE GIVING POWER
Leviticus 17:11  For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Life is in the blood. A body was prepared for God. He was life and all he needed was a body.
Hebrews 10:5  Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
I Peter 1:18-19  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Precious blood, without spot or blemish.
ATONEMENT POWER (reconciling god and man)
Leviticus 17:11  Given for the atonement of the soul. Hebrews 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
cleansed with the blood. No forgiveness of sin without it.
ETERNAL POWER (speaking)
Genesis 4:10  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
When blood leaves the body it does not cease to live. It cried up for vengeance. Hebrews 12:22-24 Jesus’ blood cried out for better things than that of Abel’s. His was for mercy, Abel’s was for vengeance.
Hebrews 9:11-12  But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Jesus offered himself for the errors of the people. The blood of Christ purges our conscience from sin. There is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood. The blood of Jesus fulfilled the rightousness of the law for ever. Romans 8:4 – That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS A LIVING FORCE.
Joshua 2- Rehab (harlot of Jericho) was saved by a scarlet thread–symbol of the blood covering.  There was a man in the Philippines in a deliverance service. The demon spoke out and blasphemed God, the name of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the blood of Jesus in that order.
1 Peter 1:2  Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
We are the elect through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus. The high priest sprinkled the blood DAILY for the people in the Holy Place. This signifies that we also should apply the blood of Jesus DAILY in our own lives.  Claiming the blood of Jesus brings; Forgiveness, Salvation, Healing, Redemption, Cleansing, Protection, Victory, and Deliverance.
Exodus 12:23-24  For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
We shall observe this ordinance of applying the blood forever. Applying the blood in practical use is necessary-apply it always.
There was a man excavating in the jungle and got ptomaine poisoning. He laid hands on himself and claimed the blood of Jesus for his healing for 20 minutes and God healed him. Praise the Lord!

Be thankful for the blood of Jesus

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

Apply the blood

Ex. 12:21-24-(Keep not the letter, but the spirit).
We need to know how to apply the blood.
Rom. 10:10- The key is in confession with the mouth
It must always be the spirit with the blood.
Don't do confessions with the carnal nature.
Do it with the Holy Spirit's anointing. Then the
blood of Jesus is all powerful.
Rom. 3:25- We need to have faith in the blood of
Jesus. Must believe it.
Heb. 9:14- How much more should the blood purge our
conscience to serve the living God. Done in the
spirit of man to serve the Spirit God.

blood and water (need both.)
Heb. 13:20,21- The blood of Jesus has the power to
make us perfect.

-A man of God

Claim the blood of Jesus

1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed (liberated) with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Colossians 1:12-14 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (worthy) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

The fulness of Christ

Ephesians 4:7-16  Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.  Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.  (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Stand in the holy place

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Hebrews 10:19-22 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Matthew 6:5-6 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Hebrews 6:19-20 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

The power of praise

Psalm 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Matthew 21:15-16 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

2 Chronicles 20:21-22 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

A prayer of salvation/deliverance

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. You redeemed me by your blood and I belong to you, and I want to live for you. I confess all my sins-known and unknown-I’m sorry for them all. I renounce them all. I forgive all others as I want you to forgive me. Forgive me now and cleanse me with your blood. I thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ which cleanses me now from all sin. And I come to you now as my deliverer. You know my special needs – the thing that binds, that torments, that defiles; that evil spirit, that unclean spirit – I claim the promise of your word, ‘Whosoever that calleth on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (delivered) Romans 10:13.

I call upon you now. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me and set me free. Satan, I renounce you and all your works. I loose myself from you, in the name of Jesus, and I command you to leave me right now, in Jesus’ name. Amen!’
